Safe Ride

Lyft logoSince December 2015, we’ve partnered with Lyft to build Vision Zero awareness and have focused on discouraging impaired driving (both drunk and drugged) during specific times of the year, and in neighborhoods with nightlife activity. This generally comes in the form of in-kind ride discounts that we promote on social media and sometimes through special events. In working with Lyft, we also have an opportunity to reach their drivers and riders with safety tips and information (beyond impairment) to help make Seattle’s streets safer for all.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay apprised of discounted ride codes and special events related to this partnership. For a flavor of what we've done in the past, check out some of our previous blog posts:

Community partners

Vision Zero is a citywide effort that we’re only going to reach with a collaborative, wide-reaching network of people and organizations. Here are a few of our community partners, committed to improving safety on Seattle’s streets. If you're interested in teaming up to work toward safer streets, please connect with Allison Schwartz at allison.schwartz@seattle.gov or (206) 386-4654.
