Project overview

This Safe Routes to School project will make it safer and easier for kids to walk and bike to school by improving the intersection at E Lynn St and 19th Ave E near Montlake Elementary School.

The project will include:

  • Sidewalk restoration on 19th Ave E and E Lynn St
  • An all-way stop to improve the flow of traffic through the intersection
  • A curb bulb to shorten the crossing distance for people walking
  • ADA-compliant curb ramps for better accessibility
  • A raised crosswalk to increase the visibility of pedestrians
