Music Venue Zones

Get Your Music Venue Zone Permit - Apply Today

Venues can apply now for the permit. SDOT will review applications and install Music Venue Zones on a rolling basis. The permit costs $250 per year.

The Music Venue Zone Permit Program helps musicians and their crews park and unload safely on-street at music venues. Seattle is the first city in the nation to create dedicated 24/7 on-street parking and loading zones for venues.  This program supports Seattle’s music scene by making it easier for artists to perform here.

How it works:

A sign next to the Crocodile venue that says "Music Venue Zone - Musician Parking and Loading"

  • Each venue can get one permit, which allows three Music Venue Zones Venues. The zones are available 24/7 for parking and loading for musicians and their crews.
  • Vehicles in these spaces without a permit will be ticketed and towed.
  • The permit costs $250 per year.

To qualify, venues must:

  • Have a valid City of Seattle business license
  • Host live music with a cover charge at least two different days each week

We’ll review the parking needs near the venue and talk with adjacent businesses to balance access to parking and curbspace.

Apply for the permit online or call the SDOT Permit Counter at (206) 674-5086 for help.
