26th Ave SW and SW Cambridge St Safety Enhancements

Updated: April, 2025

What's happening now?

The improvements at 25th Ave SW and SW Cambridge St were completed in April 2025, while the work at 26th Ave SW and SW Cambridge St was completed in 2022 as part of the H Line and Reconnect West Seattle projects.

Crews have improved both intersections by installing new curb ramps. And at 26th Ave SW crews also painted and installed post bulbs.

About the Project

The intersection of 26th Ave SW and SW Cambridge St is located in the South Delridge and Roxhill neighborhoods. It plays an important role in the community as SW Cambridge St provides access to Roxhill Park, and it is also a bus stop area for Roxhill Elementary students. The project improved both intersections by adding:

  • New curb ramps and paint and post bulbs at 26th Ave SW and SW Cambridge St
  • New curb ramps at 25th Ave SW and SW Cambridge St

Project Background

This was one of nine Neighborhood Street Fund (NSF) projects requested by community and selected by the Levy to Move Seattle Oversight Committee to be funded by Neighborhood Street Fund. NSF is a city program, running on 3-year cycles, that enables neighbors to propose and help prioritize transportation-related projects that are then built by the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT).
