Judkins Park Station Access Project

Judkins Park Station Access Project

Overview

The Judkins Park light rail station is set to open in 2025. In preparation for this, in 2019 we asked the community how to make the area safer and more accessible. So we conducted the Judkins Park Station Access Study. We learned many things from it. For instance, the Mountains to Sound Trail needs more lighting to keep people who walk, run, roll, or bike safe. We can now confirm that all our changes reflect what the community wants and will complement the new light rail station. And with the money we received from the Sound Transit System Access Fund Program, we can construct these projects:

  • ADA compliant upgrades to walking areas
  • A new staircase on Hiawatha Pl S
  • Lighting for the Mountains to Sound Trail
  • Signalized pedestrian crossing at 23rd Ave S & S Grand St

Community Outreach

Visit this website if you want updates about the project. We will include our outreach materials in this section so you can see things like construction notices.
