N 137th St Neighborhood Greenway

Project Overview
We are building a neighborhood greenway on N 137th St between Linden Ave N and Ashworth Ave N to make it safer and easier for people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike, and roll in your neighborhood. This new greenway connects to the Interurban Trail, the Ashworth Ave N neighborhood greenway, and improvements on N 130th St that help people get to Sound Transit's Pinehurst Station and Metro Route 77 (both starting service in 2026).
Project elements include:
- Speed cushions to calm traffic
- Stop signs for side streets crossing the neighborhood greenway to improve safety for people walking or biking along the greenway
- No parking signs at intersections to improve visibility for everyone using the street. Known as “daylighting,” this enforces existing regulations that prohibit parking within 20-ft of an intersection.
- Signs and pavement markings to help people find their way
- Shared-use path between Interlake Ave N and Ashworth Ave N to connect to existing sidewalks/walkways

Sidewalk extension on the south side of N 137th St that connects the existing sidewalk to Aurora Ave N (completing the sidewalk network between Aurora Ave N and Linden Ave N
