S Holgate St

We completed constructing pedestrian and bicycle safety and access improvements along westbound S Holgate St and on the S Holgate St bridge in fall 2017.

Project overview

The S Holgate St bridge is an important connection between Beacon Hill, The Mountains to Sound Trail, and the SODO neighborhood.

In fall 2017, we completed mobility improvements along S Holgate St near 8th Ave S, including replacing the stairs to the S Holgate St bridge with a more accessible ramp. We’re committed to achieving Seattle's Vision Zero goal to end traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2030 and this project will make it safer and easier for people to walk and bike through this key connection between SODO and Beacon Hill.
