Discovery Park Visitor Center is closed until Summer 2027. The rest of Discovery Park is open as usual.
We are unable to issue beach parking permits while the Visitor Center is closed. Parking at the beach level without a permit or ADA placard is not allowed and may result in citation or towing.
Ride the free shuttle between parking lots to the beach until November 1, 2026.
Parking and Beach Shuttles
Shuttle Bus through November 1
Discovery Park is operating a free shuttle bus from summer through fall in 2026. The free shuttle operates Thursdays through Sundays through November 1 from 11 AM – 5 PM.
The shuttle loops between the East, North, and South Beach parking lots at Discovery Park, arriving at each stop approximately every 45 minutes, with the final departure from the beach at 4:45 PM.
- What is allowed on the shuttle? People, including children and babies, service animals, and strollers
- What is NOT allowed on the shuttle? Pets, coolers, surf/paddleboards, and other bulky items
