FREE Beach Swim Lessons (age 6-16)

<p>Swim lessons are offered for free at all lifeguarded beaches for ages 6-16. Children receiving<span> </span><a href="/parks/pools/swim-seattle" title="Swim Seattle">free swim lessons from Swim Seattle</a><span> </span>at swimming pools may <span style="text-decoration: underline;">also</span> participate in beach swim lessons in addition to their lessons at the pool!</p>
<p>Lessons are weather dependent and may be cancelled for poor weather, or very hot weather when more lifeguard staff are needed for surveillance duty.</p>
<h2>2026 Beach Swim Lessons Sessions</h2>
<h3>Middays: Monday-Friday, 12:15-12:45pm</h3>
<p>Classes meet 5 days a week for 2-week sessions.</p>
<ul>
<li>Session 1 - June 29 - July 10, 2026</li>
<li>Session 2 - July 13 - July 24, 2026</li>
<li>Session 3 - July 27 - August 7, 2026</li>
<li>Session 4 - August 10 - August 21, 2026</li>
</ul>
<h3>Evenings: Monday or Thursday, 5:30-6pm</h3>
<p>Classes meet 1 evening a week for an 8-week session.</p>
<ul>
<li>Monday Session - June 29 - August 17, 2026</li>
<li>Thursday Session - July 2 - August 20, 2026</li>
</ul>

<p>Two ways to sign up:</p>

<li><strong>Sign up via email</strong> from Monday, June 1 to Friday, June 26, 2026. Please email <a href="mailto:parksaquatics@seattle.gov" target="_blank" title="parksaquatics@seattle.gov" rel="noopener">parksaquatics@seattle.gov</a> with the following information:

</li>
<li><strong>Sign up in person</strong> <strong>at the beach during regular operating hours </strong>beginning June 27, 2026. Midday and evening sessions are listed below.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Please limit to one session per child.</strong> Drop-ins are allowed if space is available.</p>
