"The Beautiful Game": Celebrating Soccer in Seattle
Seattle Parks & Recreation is featuring special soccer-themed recreation programming while our city hosts the international soccer tournament. We will offer 100+ soccer-related activations citywide, including:
- 7 outdoor watch parties in neighborhood parks
- 12 indoor watch parties at community centers
- 2 youth soccer jamborees
- 60+ recreation programs reimagined with soccer themes occurring at community centers, parks, and aquatic facilities
- A variety of activations through the Beautiful Game Grant supporting community-led soccer, futsal, and cultural events
Operational support across SPR will include increased Park Ranger presence, enhanced maintenance and cleaning in parks and at recreation facilities, and park and facility improvements to ensure assets are ready for increased use.
Outdoor Watch Parties
SPR will host seven large-scale outdoor watch parties in parks across the city during tournament matches. These gatherings will feature live match screenings, soccer-themed field activities, community programming, and family-friendly engagement opportunities. Some events may include food vendors, cultural performances, and prizes.

Indoor Watch Parties
SPR will host 12 indoor watch parties at community centers throughout Seattle. These events provide accessible, climate-controlled spaces for residents and families to watch tournament matches together.
Several locations will also offer youth and teen programming, including futsal, soccer-themed video game tournaments, and other recreation activities.

Youth Soccer Jamborees
SPR will host two large-scale youth soccer jamborees at Magnuson Park and Delridge Playfield designed to engage young players and families during the tournament period. These events will include youth clinics, demonstrations, and 5-on-5 mini-pitch play, as well as opportunities to interact with coaches and local soccer players.

Other Community Events
SPR will also host a variety of soccer-themed programs and activities across Seattle at community centers, parks, and pools this summer.
Activations will include things like World Soccer Trivia at International District/Chinatown Community Center, Mini-Hawk Soccer Camp at Garfield Community Center, and a soccer-themed swim at Ballard Pool.
