Burke-Gilman Trail Repairs

Seattle Parks and Recreation is updating the Burke-Gilman Trail Maintenance Plan. As a part of this work, we are evaluating the conditions on the Burke-Gilman Trail to create a prioritized list of trail segments for future maintenance repair work. Please watch this site for updates on this development.

Thanks to Seattle Park District funds, Seattle Parks and Recreation regularly maintains the Burke Gilman to ensure that this invaluable community asset remains a safe, accessible, and enjoyable resource for all users. Within the scope of our Asset Management & Life Cycle Program, we conduct routine repair of sections of the Burke Gilman Trail where accessibility is impacted by paving age and uplift caused by roots

Upcoming repair work will occur in approximately these areas and detours will be provided:

Spring – Summer 2024 – (weather dependent

  • Sand Point Way Bridge to NE 97th St (March 2024)  
  • NE 97th St to NE 112th St (March/April 2024)
  • NE 112th St to NE 125th St (April/May 2024)
