Amy Yee Tennis Center teaches Group Classes, Play Instructs, Ball Machine classes, and Clinics for players age 18 and over, at NTRP levels 1.0 to 5.0. Classes are organized by NTRP level, which ranges from 1.0 (absolute beginner) to 7.0 (world class). NTRP Level 2.5 is the entry level for match play, but most players start playing matches at NTRP 3.0. <ul> <li>Beginner Levels 1.0 and 1.5 are open to students without NTRP ratings. Register for the level appropriate to you.</li> <li>To register for Level 2.0 or higher, an NTRP rating level must be assigned to your ActiveNet profile by AYTC staff. Incoming participants with prior tennis experience can <a href="https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=RR7meOtrCUCPmTWdi1T0G_C-9Z-di2lJiCBu_p38zWlUQ0FJRE4xOEkzQTJNOVRFR0RVOUpLS0hKVS4u&route=shorturl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">answer this questionnaire to estimate your NTRP rating</a>.</li> <li>Group Classes (1.0-3.5) are technical, focused on learning new skills. </li> <li>Ball Machine and Play Instruct classes are tactical, focused on applying the skills taught in Group Classes. <ul> <li>Ball Machine is an instructional tool for students at NTRP 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5.</li> <li>Play Instruct are play-based drills classes for players at NTRP 2.5-5.0.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Clinics (1.5-5.0) are one-day workshops on topics like Serves, Groundstrokes, and Volleys.</li> <li>Please only register for classes at your skill level. Do not register for multiple classes at varying skill levels. Amy Yee Tennis Center may cancel the registration of a student at the wrong skill level.
