Swimming Beach
Magnuson Park has a public swim beach on the shore of Lake Washington, boasting excellent views of the water and landscape all the way to Mt. Rainier.
To reach the beach, enter the park on NE 65th St. and turn left at the stop sign. Follow the road all the way to the end (near the Fin Art sculpture garden). There is a parking lot at the end of the road, as well as parking along Lake Shore Dr. Magnuson beach has restrooms, including an outdoor shower. There is a fixed swim platform; however, the water depth at this site does not allow for a diving board. Lifeguards are on duty daily from late June through late August.
Please be aware, parking near the swim beach will operate the same hours as the Magnuson Park Boat Ramp. The parking gate serving E1, E2, E3, and E4 is locked at 10pm nightly and reopens at 6am.
