About

Myrtle Edwards Park includes a pedestrian path, bike trail, and two beach coves along Elliott Bay, with fantastic views of the Olympics Mountains, Mount Rainier, and Puget Sound. The park, with Elliott Bay Connections project improvements, fully re-opened to the public on June 4, 2026.

The refreshed park features two expanded beach coves and landscapes with abundant native plantings, including reseeded lawns, pollinator meadows and trees that flourish in coastal conditions. Seating and interpretive signage offer places to rest, relax and learn about the Elliott Bay waterfront. The Children’s Exploration Area is located near the beach coves and the W Thomas St Pedestrian and Bicycle Overpass entrance.
