Loyal Heights Playfield Turf Replacement

Updated: March 12, 2020

Spring 2020

Seattle Parks and Recreation is renovating both Soundview Playfield and Loyal Heights Playfield.  After considering the possible impacts of having two north end playfields under construction at the same time and discussing these impacts with the many impacted groups, Seattle Parks and Recreation has rescheduled start of construction for Loyal Heights to 2021.

Thank you to everyone who joined Seattle Parks and Recreation's staff at the September 10, 2018 Open House to learn about this improvement project.

This project will replace the existing artificial turf surface with a new advanced synthetic turf system and improve access to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act standards. These upgrades will address recreational demands and provide access for people of all abilities to the restrooms and other areas of the field.
