HIGHLIGHTS

April 17 - 19: Seattle Mariners have a three-game homestand against the Texas Rangers at Safeco Field.

April 17 - 20: Dexter Ave. N. fully closed between Aloha St. and Harrison St. Friday night to Monday morning. Lane closures will also occur on Mercer St. Friday night to Saturday morning.

April 17 - 20: Westbound lanes of I-90 closed between Bellevue and Seattle Friday night to Monday morning. Traffic will be detoured into the Express Lanes.

April 18: Lane closures on 2nd Ave. and University St. Saturday.

April 18: I-5 ramps to and from Mercer St. closed Saturday night.

April 23: We Day will bring thousands of students to KeyArena next Thursday.

April 24 - 25: Full street closures on 2nd Ave, Stewart St, and Pine St. next weekend during a large concrete mat pour.

April 25: Roosevelt Wy. NE reduced to one lane between NE 47th St. and NE 45th St. next Saturday.

Phase 1 - S. Jackson St. to E. John St.
A Seattle Department of Transportation project that will improve safety and mobility for drivers, pedestrians and transit riders. The project includes: modifying 23rd Ave. from a four-lane street to a three-lane street - one lane in each direction with a center left-turn lane (key intersections will stay four lanes); repaving 23rd Ave;
widening sidewalks to at least five feet and repairing broken and buckling sidewalks; installing new streetlights; upgrading traffic signals to give transit priority at key locations; consolidating bus stops to improve transit speed; replacing a 100 year-old water main that runs underneath 23rd Ave.

University of Washington's Montlake Triangle Project Project will construct a new pedestrian land bridge over NE Pacific Place connecting the Montlake Triangle and Rainier Vista.  The project will provide landscaping, hard surfacing, lighting, and other site improvements from Stevens Way through the Montlake Triangle.  Work is expected to be complete in the Fall of 2015.

Electrical System Upgrade along Utah Ave. S.
Seattle City Light crews will be working to increase the electrical service reliability in the SODO neighborhood with an electrical system upgrade along Utah Ave. S. between S. Lander St. and S. Horton St.  The project involves replacing poles, overhead electrical wire, and upgrading equipment.  Parking impacts are expected, as well as several planned power outages of 2 to 3 hours each.

Street Light Power Project near Seattle Center
Seattle City Light will convert the 480-volt streetlight power supply along the perimeter of Seattle Center to a 120-volt system.  Work will include trenching and installing electrical conduit; installing electrical handholes; and replacing existing wiring.  The project will also replace sidewalks and ADA curb ramps.  No pole replacements will take place as part of this project.  Impacts include temporary sidewalk and travel lane closures.  Some weekend work is possible.
