HIGHLIGHTS

October 17 - 20: SR520 floating bridge closed in both directions Friday night to Monday morning.

October 17 - 20: Aurora Ave. N. closed in both directions between the Battery Street Tunnel and Valley St. Friday night to Monday morning.

October 17 - 18: A house move from the Green Lake/Ravenna neighborhood to the Crown Hill neighborhood will close streets in North Seattle Friday night.

October 18 & 19: SR99 Viaduct closed in both directions Saturday and Sunday for the semi-annual bridge inspection.

October 18: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk will close Aurora Ave. N. in both directions Saturday morning.

October 18: A Phish concert at KeyArena and the opening of the Seattle Opera at McCaw Hall will bring crowds to the Seattle Center Saturday night.

October 22: Beacon Ave. S. closed between S. Holgate St. and 14th Ave. S. for approximately nine weeks.

October 25 & 26: Full closure of I-5 between Tukwila and S. Boeing Access Road next weekend.

Work will begin on the seawall between Pike St. and Madison St.  Impacts include: temporary closure of retail businesses on Piers 54, 55, and 56 to allow construction to proceed as efficiently as possible;  removal of on-street parking west of the viaduct between Pike and Madison Streets; ferry access entry point will shift to just south of Madison St.  Many businesses will remain open, including the Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Cruises, the Great Wheel and Pier 57, and Colman Dock.
Until further notice First Hill Streetcar Project Construction on the First Hill Streetcar Project is complete.  Delivery of the streetcars is behind schedule, with the initial deliveries now expected in December.  Operations are expected to begin in early 2015, once testing of the streetcar system is complete.

University of Washington's Montlake Triangle Project Project will construct a new pedestrian land bridge over NE Pacific Place connecting the Montlake Triangle and Rainier Vista.  The project will provide landscaping, hard surfacing, lighting, and other site improvements from Stevens Way through the Montlake Triangle.

Seattle City Light Project -
Electrical Improvements along the Burke-Gilman Trail
Project will improve the reliability and capacity of the electrical system feeding the University of Washington.  Five sections of the Burke-Gilman Trail west of 15th Ave. NE will be closed during construction.  The project is being coordinated with UW's additional trail improvements east of 15th Ave. NE.  Construction will include installing a new duct bank, installing conduits and vaults, and pulling new electrical cable.
Until further notice Burke-Gilman Trail closed between University Wy. NE. and Adams Lane NE.  Trail will be detoured north to roadways on the UW campus.
