Lane closure in Battery Street Tunnel Southbound Crews will close the left lane of southbound Aurora Ave N from Denny Way through the Battery Street Tunnel for repair work from prior vehicle accidents.

Macy's Holiday Parade It will begin at 7th and Pine, travel west to 5th Ave, south on 5th Ave to University St, west on University St to 4th Ave, and north on 4th Ave.

Westlake Tree Lighting Ceremony The Westlake Tree will be lighted during this ceremony, taking place between 4th and 5th Avenues at Westlake Center Plaza.

New Seattle Marathon 5K in Downtown Seattle A new 5K marathon will be happening in downtown Seattle. Streets surrounding the Seattle Center will be affected and all participants will conclude the run by 9:30A.M.

Seattle Marathon/Half Marathon The route will restrict access to and close many streets around Seattle, including 5th Ave, Lake Washington Blvd, I-90 Express Lanes and many others. Check the course for details.
Dec 5-6 James St Closed at 4th Ave Downtown (SDOT)

Crews will be paving the intersection of 4th Ave and James St. 4th Ave will be down to two lanes and traffic will be directed to turn left on 4th Ave if traveling east up James St.

Lane closures on the West Seattle Freeway Crews will be closing lanes on the West Seattle Bridge, up to 2 at a time. Eastbound lanes will be closed daylight to 8:30AM, westbound lanes from 8:30AM to 10AM.
Through Dec '09 Bell Street Vaults and Duct Banks (SCL) Seattle City Light crews are installing new vaults and duct banks between 2nd and 5th Avenues.
Through Jan '10 4th Ave Paving (Downtown)

Paving has begun on 4th Ave starting at S Jackson St and moving north towards James St. Two lanes will be open to traffic.

Closure of the 4th Ave S Off-Ramp nightly Crews will close the 4th Ave S off-ramp from westbound I-90, and southbound and northbound I-5 to re-stripe the off-ramp and set temporary barriers each night. A signed detour route will be in place during the closures. Closures are weather dependent.

Lane closures on Alaskan Way Viaduct in SODO Crews will close the right lane of a short stretch of the Alaskan Way Viaduct southbound each week between S Massachusetts St and S Holgate St
Dec 4-21 Northbound Closure of Atlantic / Alaskan Way S intersection Crews will be closing this intersection in the northbound direction around the clock for two weeks. A detour via 1st Ave will be provided. Southbound traffic will not be allowed to turn left at Atlantic.

Alaskan Way Viaduct - Holgate to King (WSDOT) The center turn lane has been removed on Alaskan Way between S Atlantic St and S Massachusetts streets. Alaskan Way will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
Nov 9 -Feb '10 Sidewalk/Stair closure at Edgar Martinez Way and 4th Ave S Crews will close the sidewalk on the north side of Edgar Martinez Way. Also, crews will close the stairs and sidewalk on the southbound 4th Ave S ramp to I-5, I-90, etc.

Spokane Street 4th Avenue Eastbound Off-Ramp (SDOT) Eastbound S Spokane St between East Marginal Way and 1st Ave is closed for water main work and re-paving of the roadway.

Eastbound S Spokane St between 4th Ave and the E-3 Busway is closed.
