Safe Routes to School: Wing Luke Elementary

Helping kids get to school safely

What's happening now?

Crews will begin construction on safety and access improvements near Wing Luke and Van Asselt Elementary Schools the week of November 20. Crews will begin work on S Cloverdale St at Beacon Ave S and move east towards Martin Luther King Jr Way S before working on 37th Ave S from S Cloverdale St to S Thistle St. We expect work to last through April 2018, depending on the weather. See the construction flyer for details. Crews will maintain 2-way traffic on S Cloverdale St during peak school traffic periods, however, drivers can expect delays in the area. S Cloverdale St will be reduced to 1 lane with alternating 2-way traffic controlled by flaggers during other weekday working hours, from 7 AM – 5 PM. Please sign up for construction email updates to get the latest information.

Project Overview

This Safe Routes to School (SRTS) project will make the it safer and easier for kids, families, and neighbors to walk and bike to Wing Luke and Van Asselt Elementary Schools along S Cloverdale St and 37th Ave S.
