This project has experienced some unforeseen delays. Our Senior Landscape Architect is preparing construction drawings. We anticipate the bid will be advertised in the fall, with construction occurring fall and winter.

Seattle Parks and Recreation's project team thanks everyone who attended the January 24, 2018 meeting to review and comment on the preferred design. Renderings of the play equipment can be viewed here. You can view the meeting presentation and other documents below.

Seattle Park District provides $600,000 for planning, design and construction.

Project Description

This improvement project is funded by the Seattle Park District. The play area renovation will update play equipment with play structures accessible to children of all ages and abilities. Additionally, accessibility improvements that meet the standards from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will be made throughout the play area.
