Pickleball

Welcome to Seattle's public pickleball court resource page! Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong, and is played on a shorter court than tennis (like badminton), with a modified tennis net. Whether it's doubles or singles, pickleball can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels. Seattle Parks and Recreation has many outdoor tennis courts striped for pickleball play, and our community centers offer indoor opportunities to drop in and play for free.

2025 Racquet Sports Strategy

SPR Planning staff have been working hard over the past 12 months to develop a comprehensive racquet sports strategy for the short, intermediate, and long-term distribution, maintenance, and management of our outdoor racquet sports courts. While vetting the strategy with subject matter experts, it has become clear that a few unknowns need more research and development to inform a more robust plan forward.

While we have been communicating a release of this strategy to occur in the summer of 2025, we believe delaying the release to account for the above is the most effective means for ensuring a meaningful public engagement process. We believe this work will be completed and the strategy updated for public release by late fall of 2025.

We appreciate your patience as we work to provide the most informed and complete analyses and recommendations to better support our racquet sport communities.

Seattle's outdoor pickleball courts include a mix of dedicated pickleball courts, dual-striped pickleball/tennis, and a few pickleball courts shared with basketball or badminton.

Amy Yee Tennis Center manages reservations for Tennis and Tennis/Pickleball courts, or you may reserve your court onlinePlease note which park you wish to reserve and search for that location. Only the tennis courts with dual pickleball striping may be used for pickleball.
