About

Bitter Lake Playfield is a large neighborhood park featuring lighted tennis courts, lighted ball fields with bleachers, a wading pool, restrooms, and play structures. The park is adjacent to the Bitter Lake Community Center and includes a small section of the lake’s shoreline.

The play area and restroom renovations were completed in 2025, providing many opportunities for children of all abilities, with designated zones for ages 2–5 and 5–12. It features colorful new equipment for sliding, spinning, zip-lining, and climbing. Three universally accessible restrooms are available, and new picnic tables and site furnishings have been added. In addition, tennis court lights and electrical services have been upgraded to reduce energy consumption and glare.
