School Age Care Summer Day Camps

Seattle Parks and Recreation school age care camps are administered through the Associated Recreation Council (ARC) and offer all-day childcare at selected community centers with robust programming, activities, field trips and more!
Registration begins each April, with weekly camps beginning in late June. Financial aid is available for reduced/subsidized cost. Information and applications can be found here- Scholarships & Financial Aid - Parks | seattle.gov

Indoor Sports and Recreation
Arena Sports
Arena Sports Summer Camp offers endless fun for kids ages 5-12 years. Children stay actively involved in safe sports and games while learning teamwork and sportsmanship. Campers will play all their favorite age-appropriate games, burning energy all day. Search the activities and registration portal online for dates and times. Contact them to find out status for 2022.
Tennis Center Sand Point
The coaching emphasis and philosophy is on PLAY at these camps. Play is a very powerful tool to help kids grow while staying engaged. Players will not only grow in their tennis and athletic skills but also learn many valuable life lessons that come with playing. The Center offers camps for ages 6-17 years, beginner to high performance players. Half-day camp available for most camps. You can choose any combination of 1-week camps to attend. Rowing, Boating and Bicycling Camps
Sail Sand Point
Sail Sand Point offers a variety of safe and fun camp experiences for ages 6-17. The camps are for beginning, intermediate, and racing sailors, as well as a variety of camps for kids who want to be on the water in kayaks, SUPS, windsurfers, or a combination of boats! We also offer Mommy (or Daddy) and me camps for parents and children together. Please visit sailsandpoint.org for the latest information. Cascade Bicycle Club
Get your kids out and riding! Try out one of these fun summer camps that empower youth using on and off-bike activities with a focus on applied learning, critical thinking skills, safe riding and fun. Camps are for 6-15-year olds. Contact them to find out status for 2022.
Mountaineers Summer Camps
Join the adventure with the Seattle Mountaineers! Day camp is based out of the Seattle Program Center at Magnuson Park and is for campers ages 6-12. Each week consists of rock climbing, outdoor skills, swimming, games, crafts, and camp songs. Additionally, every week has a field trip and/or outdoor adventures relating to the given theme. Discovery Park Nature Daycamp

Nature Play Camp: Campers enjoy hands-on discovery of nature through songs, movement, crafts, and exploration. At Nature Play Camp, we visit the four habitats of the park - beach, pond, meadow, and forest - and end the week with a pint-sized festival! All camp weeks are the same; the curriculum does not change.
Nature Adventure Camp and Tween Nature Trek (TNT) are still here- just under a new name! Campers will still be grouped by similar ages as we explore the four habitats of Discovery Park (beach, pond, meadow, and forest). We will trek through our week-long adventure as we meet new friends, and create arts and crafts, sing songs and play games as we explore the different corners of Discovery Park! All camp weeks are the same, the curriculum does not change.
Junior Naturalist (Teen) Program: At this time we are not seeking volunteers, but if that changes we will announce it on this page.
Carkeek Earthkeepers Day Camps
2023 Camp offerings will be available to view online April 4, with registration opening on April 18.
Carkeek Park's EarthKeepers Day Camp for children (ages 6-12) is held within 220 acres of lush forest, meadows, wetlands, creeks, and beach formed by the magic of water and time. On any given day a camp participant may explore the tide pools, hike the many trails, play in a field, learn about nature or create art. We offer activities to foster friendship, learning, creativity and leadership. EarthKeepers Summer Day Camp is a collaboration between the Carkeek Park Advisory Council, the Associated Recreation Council, and Seattle Parks and Recreation.
Camp schedule is Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm. No camp on Tuesday July 4th (Week 1).

Specialized Programs Summer Camps
2023 Summer Day Camps
Do you want your child to have fun, engaging camp opportunities? Specialized Programs trained staff work daily to offer a safe, exciting, and memorable camp experience for youth with disabilities. A nurse will be on site for all camp sessions. 1:1 supervision is not provided, but aids can accompany camper. Parents must complete and submit all required registration forms including the Participant Information and Medical History before registration is complete. If your child takes medication, a doctor’s signature is required. Scholarship applications are available and DSHS Developmental Disabilities Administration Respite Care subsidies are also accepted.

Overnight Camp
Youth engage in arts and crafts, naturalist programs, nature walks, adaptive games and entertainment. Meals are provided at overnight camp, more information to come at registration.
Ages: 6-21 years
Location: Camp Long 5200 35th Ave SW, Seattle, 98126 (in West Seattle)
Time: Tuesday- Friday. 5:00pm Tuesday drop off, pick up on Fridays at noon.
Cost: $130/session
Registration: Campers can sign up for 3 sessions and waitlist for 1. Space is limited.

Day Camp
Campers will be involved in games, entertainment, adventure activities, arts and crafts, and fitness activities. Campers will bring a sack lunch everyday to camp.

Cost: $100/session, $60 the week of 7/4 (short week)

Free Programs and Meals
Each summer we offer FREE lunchtime recreational programming, meal and snacks program for children ages 1-18. Monday through Friday from from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Watch this page for Summer 2023 information coming soon.
Preschool Camps

Seattle Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Associated Recreation Council, offers Preschool summer day camps that meet the developmental needs of young children, focusing on emotional, social, physical, and cognitive skills to prepare children for success in school and in life. Classrooms are set up with safe and nurturing environments, fun-filled learning areas, consistent schedules and routines, and both large and small group times. Preschool activities include art, blocks, dramatic play, library time, cooking, discovery science, singing, and outdoor play. Preschool summer camps may be offered in weekly sessions for up to 8 weeks at certain locations. New themes each week! Check with your local community center for a detailed description of the various offerings.

- Children need to be fully potty-trained (no diapers or pull-ups permitted)
- Please speak with the program director regarding available food options. No refrigeration or microwave/oven will be available.

Rowing and Boating Camps

Green Lake Small Craft Center and Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center offer a fun, safe and memorable summer in our Sailing, Rowing, Multisport and Adventure Camps. Most camps are open to all skill levels, with no prior experience necessary. Call Mount Baker ((206) 386-1913) or Green Lake (206) 684-4074 for more information after the summer schedule is announced in April.
All courses require a 10-minute float test, taken prior to your first class.
(Float Tests are available at our pools.)
Green Lake Small Craft Center offers beginning rowing, sail camps, paddle camps and adventure camps.
Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center offers beginning rowing, sail camps, adventure camps and multi-sport camps.
