Hing Hay Park Renovation

Updated: December 6, 2023

Hing Hay Park Restroom

Given the time elapsed between prior review cycles and resuming project revisions the design consultant will revise the drawings set addressing comments reviewed previously. The revised set will be resubmitted for 90% review. Parks is working with the design consultant to reissue a design contract that includes the revisions and complete the previous contract scope.

As a public benefit to the newly expanded Hing Hay Park, Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority (SCIDpda) is providing space inside the Bush Hotel for a public restroom and concierge station. Seattle Parks and Recreation is moving forward with the planning and design of the project, which includes renovating existing interior and exterior space in the Bush Hotel. The SPR facility will be located in the northeast area of the park in the basement of the Bush Hotel. The SPR standard comfort station/restroom will be open to the public when a concierge is present at the park.

Thank you everyone who came to learn about the new restroom and talked with us during Dragon Fest on June 29.
