About

This is a busy neighborhood park! There are two baseball fields with backstops, a play area with slides and climbing features, swings, whirl, a large open green space, and bathroom facilities.

Current Project

We opened the renovated play area in February 2026. This renovation project provides a cohesive, accessible design and improves the site for the surrounding community and city-wide recreation. The renovation includes a colorful mural on the picnic shelter.

The playfield and portions of the landscaping at the park will remain off-limits and closed to all as the natural turf establishes. The natural turf on the playfield will require two growing seasons to fully establish. SPR needs the cooperation of the community to allow the turf to fully establish and grow. Please stay off the playfield and out of the natural turf area closed off by fencing. With the community participation, we anticipate opening the playfield in summer 2026.
