About

Westlake Park lies in the heart of the downtown shopping district. It is unofficially Seattle's "town square" and often a central gathering place for events. It's the perfect spot to take a break and admire the fountain, or watch shoppers as they visit the Westlake Mall and the surrounding retail stores. From here, it's a quick trip by monorail to Seattle Center or a short walk to Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum and many other attractions.

In 2016, the City of Seattle signed a five-year agreement with the Downtown Seattle Association to manage and activate Westlake Park. Today, the park offers extensive programming during all seasons of the year. Rain or shine, you'll find outdoor games, tables and chairs and a children's play area. Stop by for lunch and check out the amazing holiday displays, or come catch a summer concert!

Downtown parks special events

Center City Parks are full of  arts, concerts, festivals and random acts of urban fun. Our park concierges have information to help you plan your visit and games so that you can play in the park. Learn more about downtown park events on our Downtown and Center City Parks page.
