Closure update (9/29/23):

Arson has delayed the re-opening of the Visitor Center. Watch this page for a new opening date. The East Parking Lot is now open and available.

During the Visitor Center closure, no beach parking passes can be issued. Parking at the beach is not permitted.

In October of 2022, extensive ADA construction closed the Visitor Center until an anticipated Fall 2023 reopening.

Discovery Park Environmental Learning & Visitor Center hosts environmental education programming, including school field trips, throughout the year. These programs are hands-on experiences employing games, props, and activities to enhance the learning adventure. They are developed to give people a positive experience outdoors and a sense of community and connection with our green spaces. Every quarter, new programs are offered based upon the seasons and the interests of the public. Pre-registration is required for all programs so please peruse the offerings on the right to find something that interests you and register today!
