City's Old Street Signs Now Available to the Public

As the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) installs new street signs, the department will store the old ones and make them available to anyone for $5 - $15 (depending on sign and condition). Whether it's Norman, Myrtle, or Rainier, residents can buy a piece of history. For an inventory of currently available signs, please click here.
The street sign replacement program is made possible by Bridging the Gap, the nine year transportation maintenance levy. By 2016, every neighborhood will see new, brighter and bigger street signs.
Signs that are currently available can be purchased at the City’s Surplus Warehouse. For additional information please call our warehouse at 206-684-0827 or send e-mail to: ffd.warehouse@seattle.gov.
