Safe Routes to School: Education

Teaching kids in the classroom how to be safe walkers and bikers is an important component of an effective Safe Routes to School program.

Safety Education Curriculum and Resources

Cascade Bicycle Club provides training and resources for teachers to instruct 3rd to 5th graders on bicycle safety education during PE. Over three weeks, the Basics of Bicycling program includes two classroom lessons and five hands-on lessons with the use of bikes borrowed from Cascade.

Safe Routes to School WA is a great resource for Safety Education Curriculum and Resources for elementary and middle school students. They also train educators on how to teach the curriculum during a 2 day workshop.
