North Seattle School Crossing Safety Enhancements

Updated: December 30, 2019

What’s happening now?

Our project team is coordinating with four north Seattle schools (Lakeside, Ingraham, Broadview Thomson, and Northgate) to improve visibility and enhance safety for kids walking and biking to school with new colorful crosswalk designs. We're currently working with the four schools to identify the crosswalk locations and develop design concepts for the crosswalks.

In the meantime, if you have comments on the project concepts, there are several ways to submit your feedback:

  • Send an email directly to the project email address.
  • Call 206-733-9361. When leaving a voicemail, be sure to state which project you're calling about and whether you'd like a return call from our team.
  • Review project concepts and submit your feedback via a comment form at participating libraries and community centers (click here to find a library or community center near you). Comment forms are available in English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Somali and Vietnamese.  To request comment forms in other languages or other reasonable accommodations or assistance, please contact us at: NSF@seattle.gov or 206-733-9361

The comment period will be open until January 31, 2020.
