Transit

Untitled Document

Seattle has a wide variety of transit options, whether you’re looking to travel on land or sea. While the City doesn’t run the buses or light rail trains, we do run the Streetcar System, and we work closely with other agencies to buy bus service, improve reliability, and make sure people can get where they need to go.

Seattle's plan to end traffic deaths & serious injuries by 2030.

From Plan to Projects

We're making more investments in transit to make sure you can get where you need to go, whether that be to work, school, running errands, or going out at night. Our Transit Master Plan serves as a 20-year look ahead to guide investments as we continue to grow. It's linked to our strategic plan and also connected to larger regional efforts. We know transit is going to get the most number of people moving efficiently, which is key to Seattle's economic success. From plan to project, see how we're increasing transit options for all types of trips.
