Multi-Family Properties Collection & Disposal
In Seattle, the property managers and/or building owners manage the accounts for garbage, recycling, and food & yard (compost) disposal at multi-family properties. Prior to 2011, tenants could have these Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) accounts in their own name, and those current accounts in tenant names will remain active until closing is requested.
Different collection & disposal resources are available for residents and building managers and owners. Both can learn about the benefits of recycling and compost at their properties.
