City Light customers benefit from mostly carbon free hydroelectricity from a carbon-neutral utility. Still, some businesses want to invest in the development of new renewable energy projects to help them meet their sustainability goals and advance the broader transition to a 100% green power supply and economy. In response to this demand, we've developed an alternative energy product offering called Renewable Plus for eligible commercial customers.
Renewable Plus offers a 100% renewable power option bundled with its environmental attributes and sourced from a new Washington state renewable project expected to begin delivering power to the electrical grid in 2025.
If you are a large commercial or industrial customer and anticipate your total consumption within our service area to be more than 10,000 MWh per year by 2025, you may be eligible for this program.
