We have internships in a variety of areas - from engineering, finance and accounting, to communications, human resources, environmental affairs, and many others.
Working on Projects that Matter
As a City Light intern, your time will be focused on the real work of the utility:
- Creating new content for employees and customers related to our work
- Tackling large-scale projects alongside your professional colleagues
- Developing solutions to address business-critical issues we face
- Going out into the field and working to help power Seattle
The result is a portfolio of work that puts your education into practice and builds skills you can use in your professional field of interest.
Professional Development Opportunities
In addition to work assignments, you will have opportunities for learning and development, including:
- Engaging directly with executive leadership
- Learning how electricity is generated and delivered to our region
- Attending professional development workshops on the business of the utility
- Working with other interns across the utility and learning from them
