Seattle Human Resources believes in the power of proactive health for a thriving and resilient workforce. We are committed to an intentional approach that empowers individuals to take charge of their well-being.  

With the Proactive Well-being Initiative for 2024, we aim to: 

  • Embrace a whole-person holistic approach that contributes to personal and professional well-being for a vibrant workforce. 
  • Build a population of savvy healthcare consumers who maximize their benefits through preventive care, PCP relationships, early detections, and managing conditions.
  • Encourage engagement with benefits and programs – Advocacy and navigation support, Hinge Health, Mental Health Benefits, Expert Medical Opinion, learning resources, and more. 

Q4 October - December Proactive Relationships

The fourth quarter Proactive Relationships theme features content and resources that center on the importance of building and maintaining healthy relationships through communication, self-awareness and connection.

Seattle Human Resources hosts learning opportunities each month to support the Proactive 2024 well-being initiative. Support for Relationship Stress - Employee Assistance Program (EAP)  

Unhealthy or strained relationships with loved ones can cause distress or mental health concerns for some. The City’s EAP partner, ComPsych, offers up to 8 counseling sessions and unlimited coaching to help overcome challenges with spouse/partner, parent-teen, or other household members at no cost.

Common child and teen issues like bullying or anxiety can impact the whole family. That’s why Brightline specializes in mental health support for kids, teens AND caregivers to maintain healthy relationships when facing challenges. Brightline is an in-network benefit for Aetna members.

Accolade Health Assistants are a helpful resource in finding in-network care when you need it. Proactive health might mean scheduling your preventive screenings, making an appointment with a mental health provider or staying on top of your medications.
