Reports

Reports from Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) include documents about our past and present performance. For details of our future goals, including our Strategic Business Plan, browse our plans for all services.

Below are our most commonly requested reports:

  • Solid Waste Reports: We monitor data on residential and commercial garbage, compost, and recycling, including summaries of activity at our transfer stations.
  • Water Quality Reports: Our drinking water quality reports, which the Environmental Protection Agency requires us to create and share with every customer, give you information about how we're doing regarding the water you drink every day.
  • Drainage and Wastewater Reports: Key information about and/or analysis of drainage and wastewater system performance, including steps we are taking to address combined sewer overflows.
  • Greenhouse Gas Operational Inventory: SPU now conducts an annual greenhouse gas inventory in order to track and manage the emissions from our operations.

A variety of public records are available online free of charge here and elsewhere on SPU's website. These records include service level reports, comprehensive plans, design standards and specifications, project information, and many more documents. If you require a report not included on this website, you can submit a public disclosure request for public records from SPU. All records will be released if they do not fall within the specific exemptions of the Public Records Act or other statutes which exempt or prohibit disclosure of specific information or records. There is no charge for inspecting public records.
