How to recycle

Wood Scraps, Shavings, or Sawdust

In food and yard waste

Clean, untreated wood shavings, scraps, and sawdust go in the food and yard waste. Put sawdust or shavings in a closed paper bag or box to contain it.

In garbage

Painted or treated wood shavings, scraps, and sawdust go in the garbage. Put sawdust and shavings in a bag and tie off.

Decrease waste: Choose reusable items or donate to thrift stores.
