Programs suspended due to COVID-19

All Spring Clean operations are currently suspended. For more information about what is currently being offered through Adopt-a-Street, see the main Adopt-a-Street webpage. If you have any questions please contact us at adoptastreet@seattle.gov or (206) 684-7647

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Spring Clean.

In the past, Spring Clean has served as the premier clean-up event for the City of Seattle, and is supported by the Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) Adopt-a-Street (AAS) Program. Held each year in April and May, Spring Clean provides opportunities for residents to keep our city tidy through community-centered clean-up events.

As you may know, all Spring Clean and AAS program operations had been suspended since March 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. After much thoughtful planning and coordination, we have developed new procedures and guidelines so that we can support a modified Adopt-A-Street Program restart. That being said, Spring Clean 2021 will remain suspended. We want to make sure we restart all program activities on the right foot, in a way that is cautious, intentional, and feasible. With limited staffing capacity, we are only able to provide litter cleanup supplies to a limited number of program participants at this time. We greatly appreciate your patience as we continue to thoughtfully work our way back up to full program operation. Please stay tuned as we continue expanding our program activities.
