2019 Annual Action Plan

The City of Seattle announces the release of the approved 2019 Annual Action Plan (AAP) to the 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development. The 2019 AAP includes proposed guidance for the allocation of an estimated $15.6 million of federal grant and program revenue funds [approximately $9.3 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $3 million in HOME program funds, $805,090 in Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG) funds and $2.6 million in Housing Opportunity for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) funds] from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The 2019 AAP governs $21.4 million dollars, including program income and carryforward funds.

The Annual Action Plan responds to HUD requirements for the City of Seattle to access these funds. The Plan describes the allocations of these funds to address the housing, homeless, community development and economic development needs of the City’s low and moderate income residents and neighborhoods.
