The Seattle Human Services Department (HSD) is one of the largest contributors to Seattle's safety net. HSD invests hundreds of millions of dollars in funding to more than 200 community-based organizations and programs that support Seattle’s neighbors and communities each year.
The department works closely with our community partners, including other public and nonprofit funders and grantees, to understand human service needs and create and invest in an integrated regional human services system.
HSD is working to ensure that the City's resources are directed to our most vulnerable residents and to programs that can best leverage the investments for maximum impact on achieving results and reducing disparities.
