Future Women in EMS/FIRE Workshop

- Applications due Sept. 22, 2025
- This workshop is designed for women in King County, age 18 or older, who are interested in pursuing a career in Emergency Medical Services or serving their community as a firefighter or a paramedic. The workshop is free, and participants are selected through an application process.

- Join the KCFCA Diversity & Recruitment Workshop, hosted by Seattle Fire Department, to learn everything you need to know about starting and maintaining a rewarding career in fire, EMS and other first response or public health opportunities. This event is completely FREE and designed to help potential candidates be successful in the pre-hiring, hiring, training and career segments of their professional journey.

Prior to completing the CPAT (Candidate Physical Abilities Test), candidates are encouraged to review the CPAT Orientation Guide, Candidate Preparation Guide, and Candidate Instruction Video on the NTN website.
Recruit Study Resources
The primary text used in recruit school is the IFSTA Essentials of Fire Fighting and Fire Department Operations, 7th Edition. This text is used nationally for Firefighter I & II certification.
