About The P-Patch
Horiuchi Park P-Patch
Horiuchi Park P-Patch is at Boren Avenue between E Fir and E Spruce Streets. A grant to the Seattle Housing Authority and help from the 2008 Parks & Green Space Levy funded its construction.
On a small triangle of land on First Hill, with views of Mt Rainier, lies Horiuchi Park. The Park is named after the late C. Paul Horiuchi, one of Seattle's best known and respected artists, for his invaluable cultural contributions to the life of the city. Prior to finding recognition as an artist, Horiuchi owned an auto body shop two blocks from the park on 12th Avenue near Fir Street. The P-Patch provides gardening space for residents of Yesler Terrace and First Hill Neighborhoods.
