About The P-Patch
Shiga's Community Garden P-Patch
Shiga's Community Garden started out as an empty lot in 2009, left undeveloped for more than 30 years. Neighborhood volunteers worked to transform the property into a new P-Patch for Seattle's University District and started planting in 2010. The Shiga's Garden's land agreement is year-to-year and the landowner may choose to construct an apartment building here in the future.
