About The P-Patch
Donated by Margi Beyer, in honor of her and her husband Bill’s family legacy of gardening in their neighborhood, Beyers’ Bulldog Garden occupies an undeveloped residential property that Bill’s family owned and gardened for several generations. Situated in the Alki neighborhood of West Seattle, this garden functions on a collective model, offers accessible beds, and is home to many mature fruit trees (fig, pear, apple) and raspberry bushes. Neighbors and friends enjoyed the garden, the fruits and vegetables. When Bill Beyers Sr. gardened there, they gathered for an annual picnic and shared the garden's bounty. With support from GROW Northwest, this garden has been developed into a P-Patch Community Garden to carry on the legacy of generosity of Bill and Margi and their furry companions.
