We have had reports that individuals have been engaging in a caller ID spoofing scam, using Seattle Municipal Court phone numbers, and scams involving text messages, some with QR codes. No one from SMC will call you and ask for your personal information or request money. If you should get one of these calls, please hang up and try calling the number displayed in the caller ID to see where the call is coming from. The FCC website (https://www.fcc.gov/spoofing) is a great resource to learn more about caller ID spoofing, including how to file a complaint if you think you have become a victim of a spoofing scam.
You may pay your ticket online using a Visa or Mastercard. If you have your physical ticket, please look for the citation or case number. You will be asked for it when making payment.
