Reporting for Jury Duty

On your first day of jury duty, please report to Jury Assembly, 12th Floor, by 8:30 a.m. The courthouse opens at 8:00 a.m. Please be prompt. Tardiness can impact the speed of the trial for all participants concerned, including jurors. Generally, your service day will be completed between 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. At the end of each day, jurors will be told the time to report to Jury Assembly for their next day of service.

Jury service is from Wednesday through the conclusion of a trial or when released by the Court. Your service may be continued to the following week to complete the trial. Jurors are required to serve for the duration of a trial.

What to Bring

Jury service may entail waiting in the Jury Assembly room while you await assignment to a courtroom and/or between trials. You are encouraged to bring reading materials, crossword puzzles, work, etc. WiFi is provided along with charging stations for small electronics like laptops, phones and reading devices. Jurors have access to a kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator and beverage/snack machines. You may bring your own food from home or leave during the lunch break to get food nearby the courthouse.

What NOT to Bring

  • Firearms*
  • Any potential weapons including: pocket knives, pepper spray, corkscrews, laser pointers, etc.
  • Contraband and illegal items including: knives, brass knuckles, drugs, etc.
