Seattle Municipal Court provides a forum to resolve alleged violations of the law in a respectful, independent and impartial manner.
Meet the Judges
The Seattle Municipal Court's seven judges are elected to judicial departments for a four year term. The majority of their time is dedicated to jury trials and pre-trial hearings. They also preside over arraignments, reviews, non-jury (bench) trials sentencings, and are authorized to perform marriage ceremonies.
Case Information
Seattle Municipal Court provides access to case information and case records in accordance with Washington State Court Rules. Most case records and case details are available through the Court’s electronic case file portal. Non-criminal case records and records from older criminal cases are available from the Court’s Records Unit located on the 3rd floor of the courthouse.
