Seattle City Light and ally service providers would like to help you assess and take action on business opportunities which increase resource efficiency and reduce emissions.
Seattle City Light assists Climate Wise Partners with completion of Climate Wise Action Plans, project development and coordination, emissions inventories, and emissions tracking and reporting. Action Plans list and quantify specific emissions reduction measures that have been completed since a baseline year or are in the planning and evaluation stages.
Climate Wise Partners take advantage of all current utility program services including financial incentives from Seattle City Light's Energy Smart Services for medium and large business customers. Incentives not only improve the cost effectiveness of business investment in efficiency but also provide Seattle City Light a low-cost option compared to wholesale power purchases or new generating resources.
Climate Wise Partners participate in annual Peer Group Exchange Forums and are recognized for Climate Wise achievements.
Benefits:
- Lower utility and resource costs
- Free multi-resource facility assessments
- Utility incentives for qualifying measures
- Networking and public recognition opportunities
Climate Wise Partners agree to:
- Establish a process to identify and implement energy efficiency, waste reduction and other measures that meet business needs and contribute to greenhouse gas emission reductions.
- Complete a Climate Wise Action Plan that describes Climate Wise commitments and implementation timelines.
- Review and update the Action Plan as needed, and strive for continuous improvement.
- Track, report and inform staff and the public about Climate Wise activities.
