A longstanding provider of holistic behavioral health services in West Seattle and South King County.  

SWYFS Counseling Program aims to serve youth and their families within Seattle Public Schools. Our services range from individual mental health counseling which can lead to family counseling to groups and workshops.

Middle and high school aged youth

Format: 

  • In-person therapy sessions at a community office 
  • In-person therapy sessions at a school (within SPS) 
  • Telehealth/ Virtual therapy  
  • Sessions out in community spaces. Libraries, parks etc. 
  • Texting is only used for scheduling and outreach 

Mode:  

Individual Therapy; Group Therapy; Family Therapy; Psychoeducational Groups; Peer Support Services 

Frequency: 

As needed, whatever the client need is, we respond to

Time of day sessions are available: 

Weekdays during school hours; Weekdays after school; Weekday evenings; Flexible scheduling during school breaks

Southwest Seattle; Southeast Seattle; West Seattle; Central District 

How to enroll: 

Youth can visit our website and click on the Services Tab, then Counseling then Request Counseling Services.  

  • Youth (13+) can self-refer 
  • Family/caregiver can refer youth 
  • Another provider can refer youth 
  • School can refer youth 
  • Enrollment support is provided directly to youth 

Enrollment wait time: 

Once an intake is received it's typically 1-3 weeks. The speed mostly depends on capacity and client's response time. For follow up after intake appointments it's about 1-2 weeks.
