Construction Updates

While most of the Waterfront Park is open, several projects have ongoing construction activities.

Marion Street Pedestrian Bridge:

Due to demolition of the 800 Alaskan Way building, anticipate the following closures:

  • Marion Street Pedestrian Bridge closure January 5 - February 2, 2026
  • Sidewalk closure on the south side of Marion Street between Alaskan Way and Western Avenue

Bell Street:

  • Final refurbishment of the sign bridge is underway
  • Project completion anticipated early 2026

Park Promenade:

  • Construction activity is anticipated to begin in December and include localized repairs to sidewalk panels.

Alaskan Way/Elliott Way

  • Construction activity is anticipated to begin in December and include localized repairs to roadway and sidewalk panels, asphalt paving, curb ramps, and drainage structures. 

Pier 58:

  • Movement joint plate removal and replacement between the promenade and the pier
