Seattle Preschool Program

This opportunity is expected to reopen in December 2022.

The Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) invites organizations to respond to the Seattle Preschool Program (SPP) Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and join SPP. This RFQ seeks to identify qualified early learning providers in Seattle and expand the number of community partners delivering SPP services.

SPP is funded by the 2018 Families, Education, Preschool and Promise (FEPP) Levy which aims to achieve educational equity, close opportunity gaps, and build a better economic future for Seattle students. FEPP preschool and early learning investments provide access to high-quality early learning services that promote success in kindergarten.   

There are two steps to becoming an SPP provider:

1. Applicants must submit an RFQ application to demonstrate they meet the qualifications for becoming an SPP provider. Successful applicants will be placed on an SPP Roster to be considered for selection as a provider. 
2. DEEL will select providers from the SPP Roster according the criteria outlined in the RFQ Roster Design section to provide SPP services.  

Applicants accepted to the RFQ roster are approved for a two-year period.

Inclusion on the SPP provider roster does not guarantee funding or a contract to provide SPP services.

Successful applicants to this SPP RFQ will be eligible to provide SPP services for two school years: 2021-22 School Year and 2022-23 School Year.
