Tenant Services Grants 

The 2026 Tenant Services Grants Request for Proposal (RFP) process is closed. Please check back in the near future for 2027 funding opportunities. If you have any questions, you may contact the RFP Coordinator,  Hoa.Mai@seattle.gov.

We'll be seeking proposals from organizations with experience and/or expertise in providing services to communities in Seattle. If you are currently providing relevant services, we encourage you to apply. This RFP supports the City’s ongoing commitment to tenant protections, focusing on renters most impacted by housing instability. 

Funding Priorities

Proposals should support one or more of the following goals:

1. Right to legal counsel by providing free legal representation for low-income tenants facing eviction.
2. Eviction prevention offers early legal support, mediation, and connections to financial assistance.
3. Tenant support services provide guidance, legal advice, and advocacy for rental issues.
4. Renting in Seattle support assists renters referred by the City and helps them navigate relocation or rental issues.
5. Outreach and education increases awareness of tenant rights, connects renters to resources, and partners with focus communities.

Who Should Apply

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations with experience serving Seattle tenants or focus communities. Applicants must meet all City licensing and contracting requirements. Applicants may partner with a fiscal agent who meets the eligibility requirements. 

Ineligible applicants are: for-profit entities, government agencies, political groups, hospitals, or news organizations.
